Kindly Note that though this is an experience – road trip- photography tour, as I don’t believe in just visiting a country to take photos and not make memories. We would try to explore local food, drinks and experiences like the blue lagoon, ice – caving . We will be creating/ shooting whenever it’s the best possible time for us. Visa Requirements:

 Participants are expected to have 1-2 visa stamps on their passport, also passport validity of 1 year at least from Sep 1 2023, sufficient bank balance(around 1.5- 2L) and healthy transactions at the time of visa application, ITR filed for the past 3 years. NOC for travel if working etc, as these conditions would have a higher chance of obtaining a visa for Iceland.

DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01 (Mar 28) – ARRIVAL/PICKUP from KEFLAVIK AIRPORT

Pickup at the airport around 8am-10am and head to stay near Keflavik. Buy any sim card(lebara, nova), alcohol if required, from the airport store as it’s the cheapest here. We will be traveling around Grindavik, exploring local food, hot springs, lava fields etc. We will be staying at Keflavik. Night we go out to shoot if aurora activity is there. 100-140 kms, 5-6 hours.

Day 02 (Mar 29) – KEFLAVIK – GRUNDARFJÖRÐUR

Drive to Grundarfjörður, after breakfast and grocery shopping. Sunset at Kirkjufell. Night we go out to shoot if there is an aurora activity. Stay at Grundarfjordur. 220-240 kms, 7-8 hours.

Day 03 (Mar 30) – GRUNDARFJÖRÐUR – HELLISSANDUR – BÚÐAKIRKJA

After breakfast drive to Hellissandur, Explore street murals, Saxhóll Crater, explore Djúpalónssandur beach, Lóndrangar View Point, sunset at  Búðakirkja church. Shoot northern lights here if the weather is good, else head to Kirkjufell. Stay at Grundarfjordur. 100-140 kms, 5-6 hours.

Day 04 (Mar 31) – GRUNDARFJÖRÐUR – HVOLSVÖLLUR

Drive to Hvolsvollur, after breakfast. Visit Seljalandofoss, Skogafoss and Kvernufoss and take pictures(spend 30-45 mins at each place). Stay at Hvolsvollur. 280-300 kms, 6-8 hours.

Day 05 (Apr 1) – HVOLSVÖLLUR – VIK

Visit the DC plane wreck in the early morning(5 am). Walk 8 kms up n down, carry light luggage and water. Come back to Vik for breakfast/brunch and head to vik church, black sand beach and Reynisfjara Beach. Stay at Hvolsvollur. 100-140 kms, 5-6 hours.

Day 06 (Apr 2) – HVOLSVÖLLUR – REYNIVELLIR

Head to Reynivellir in the morning. En route, stop at Eldhraun lava field, Lómagnúpur mountain, and stop at  Fjallsárlón glacier. Sunset at Diamond beach. Stay at Reynivellir. 280-300 kms, 7-9 hours.

Day 07 (Apr 3) – REYNIVELLIR – STOKKSNES

We will possibly go caving at Jokulsarlon glacier if it is open(This is extra and would be around 120-160 Euros per head). We drive to Stokksnes for sunset and northern lights. Stay at Stokksnes. 60-80 kms, 1-2 hours.

Day 08 (Apr 4) – STOKKSNES – HVOLSVÖLLUR

Shoot sunrise at Vestrahorn. Check out after breakfast and head to vik. We will possibly go caving at Jokulsarlon glacier if it is open(This is extra and would be around 120-160 Euros per head). Sunset at Dyrhólaey Lighthouse. Stay at Hvolsvollur. 350-360 kms, 8-9 hours.

Day 09 (Apr 5) – HVOLSVÖLLUR – REYKJAVIK

Drive to Grindavik, visit blue lagoon(entry 90 Euros), and head to Reykjavik and stay here for the night. We explore the city if time permits.

Day 10 (Apr 6) – REYKJAVIK – Drop to KEFLAVIK Airport

Explore Reykjavík, Visit Sun Voyager, Hallgrímskirkja church, Drop to the airport at Keflavik by evening 7-8pm. Trip Ends here. Hope you had a great time in Iceland with the group.

Book a return flight on 24th evening after 8-9 PM.

Every day we shall possibly shoot the sunset and shoot on those days where aurora activity and clear sky is available.

Please note that the trip locations and dates are flexible depending on the weather conditions and we reserve the right to modify accordingly.

COSTING and INCLUSIONS

 Expedition Cost  2,10,000/-INR.

Batch Size: 7-8 participants

Transport: Two 5 seater SUV Cars/One 9 seater traveler.

Inclusions:

  1. All accommodation from Keflavik – Keflavik inside Iceland. Accommodation will be a mix of Airbnb, hotels, hostels etc. Rooms type: Family Room, Quadruple, Triple, Double etc.
  2. All transport from Keflavik – Keflavik inside Iceland.
  3. Entry fee to all parks, parking fees.
  4. Workshop fees.
  5. Fuel costs.
  6. 8 Breakfast included.

Exclusions:

  1. Food – lunch, tea/coffee, dinner, snacks.
  2. Air Travel to and from Iceland or any other travel costs.

Northern Lights in Iceland

Food for the whole trip costs around 20k-25k INR depending on what’s your taste(per day around (2k-2.5k). We usually buy from the supermarket and cook as it’s cheaper.

We usually buy packed lunches(sandwiches)/ eat outside, and dinner(ready to cook) from the supermarket every morning/ once in a day while stopping for coffee.

WHAT TO CARRY FOR Iceland Trip?
  1. Down Jackets(preferably -10-20 degree ones, Decathlon has good ones) – 1

  3. Warmers / Thermals -1-2 pairs
  4. T shirts/ tops 4-6 of them
  5. Trek pants/ trousers 1-2
  6. Woolen caps, gloves 1 each, and socks as per requirement
  7. Raincoat (not necessary – but good to have one).
  8. Waterproof or cold resistant Trekking shoes – preferably not carrying sports shoes as they are not the best when it comes to hilly terrain/ water/ cold proofing.
  9. Personal Medicines if any.
  10. Water bottle.
  11. Power banks.
  12. UV Sunglasses.
  13. Camera and lenses. Tripod if required.
  14. Cards/ Games if any.
  15. Any “FAST” wide or normal lens. (14mm -35mm)i.e: f/1.4, 1.8, 2.8 etc. for good Night and Sharp photography.
  16. 85mm or 70-200mm or 100-400 for landscapes.

Ensure to carry light as possible even though we don’t have much hiking with bags, it’s a good practice to carry light. Please avoid trolley bags above 70cm height as they are difficult to carry in the boot space.

NOTE: Consult your doctor before taking any medicine and also keep your prescribed medication if you have asthma, sugar, high bp or any allergy etc.

  1. All Sightseeing/shooting totally depends upon Weather, Road Condition and Time management of Guests. Sightseeing Can be Shifted on Other Days or can be missed, Totally Depends upon the Road conditions and time management of Guests.
  2. Participants who have a medical history of blood pressure, heart-related problems or asthma are advised to seek medical advice before enrolling for this Tour.
  3. We have full right to modify/ alter the tour itinerary at any point of time depending on the need( Road/Aurora activity/Weather conditions etc).
  4. We shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages or losses caused to any participant in connection with terrorist activities, social unrest, mechanical or construction failures or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, abnormal conditions or developments, or any other actions outside our control.
  5. The management has every right to ban and deport the participants who won’t follow the rules and respect the crew. (NO REFUND)
  6. Participants won’t be refunded if he/she decides to leave a tour in progress for any reason.
  7. All photographers are requested to abide by the rules and regulations explained by the mentor and also abide by the rules that disallow the usage of cameras during specific times of the schedule.
  8. Single/Double sharing stay is not possible in Winters in Kaza (Lidang) for Groups. Travelers who are traveling will accommodate in Triple/Quad Sharing stay only with other co-travelers,Depending upon the availability.
  9. Kindly note at the time of Travel if Route will get closed or in bad conditions then will take
    alternative route with alternate Stay for the Guest safety but for that Supplement cost will be applicable which has to be borne by the Guests directly.
  10. Any kind of refund is not possible for any unused services.
  11. Please don’t use Single use plastic bottles in Iceland, Carry Hard Steel water bottles for the trip. This is very important.
  12. If this tour is canceled before the departure, we will provide you with a refund excluding any cancellation charges applicable. Unless the cancellation is due to an event that makes it infeasible for us to operate the tour as planned.
  13. In any circumstance if we cancel the trip in progress, you will receive a proportion of refund based on the number of days not completed on the tour.
  14. All refunds will take within 7-10 business days to reach you.
  15. Baggage and all personal belongings are solely the responsibility of the participant, expecting participants to carry light so that it fits in the boot space of the car.
  16. We however, reserve the right to take photographs or videos during this tour for any promotional or commercial use.
  17. By registering for this workshop, you will agree to allow us to do the same. Copyright in all photographs, video, and related materials created by the participant shall belong to the participant upon creation.

DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1, Dec 30: ARRIVAL/PICKUP CHANDIGARH – VIA SHIMLA – NARKANDA

Arrival/Pick Up from Chandigarh and head towards Narkanda. En route, enjoy the scenic Shimla and Kufri. Dinner and Stay at Narkanda. Distance of ~200 km in 6-7 hours.

Day 2, Dec 31: Narkanda – Kalpa

Morning, After breakfast Start our journey for Kalpa via beautiful villages of Rampur Wangtu, and Karcham. On Arrival at Kalpa, Visit – Roghi Village and Suicide point. We can Visit and Explore the Peo Market as time permits. At Kalpa, we shall catch a glimpse of the famous Kinner Kailash mountain range. Check-in to the Stay and retire for the day. Later on, Enjoy the Dinner & Overnight stay at Kalpa. Distance of ~200 km in 6-7 hours.

Day 3, Jan 1: Kalpa – Tabo. Stay at Tabo

In the morning after breakfast we leave for Tabo. En route we will find the amazing view of Satluj & Spiti Rivers at Khab. We shall stop for lunch in Nako village which is the first village of Spiti valley region and famous for a beautiful lake. On the way we shall visit Gue village to see the Mummy (Depends upon the road condition).
Later on continued the journey to Tabo. On Arrival at Tabo, Visit Tabo Monastery and Caves.
On Arrival, Check-In to the Stay & Retire for the Day. Dinner and Overnight stay at Tabo. Distance of ~200 km in 6-7 hours.

Gue Mummy- Believed to be over 500 years old, this rare natural mummy belongs to Sangha Tenzin, a Buddhist monk who started the self-mummification process while still living! In 1975, an earthquake in the wind-sculpted Spiti Valley opened up a time-worn tomb in Gue.
Tabo is a small town in Lahaul and Spiti district on the banks of the Spiti River. The town lies on the road between Reckong Peo and Kaza. Visit the Tabo village, surrounded by Buddhist Monasteries which is more than 1000 years old and is considered one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world. There are several caves nearby which are used by Buddhist monks for meditation in solitude.

(NOTE:- Please note Road Conditions to – Gue Village are not good. If at the time of the travel roads are closed or not in good condition then will not cover the same).

Day 4, Jan 2: Tabo – Dhankar – Key Monastery – Kibber – Chicham Bridge – Kaza

In the morning after breakfast, start our journey to Kaza Via Dhankar. Visit – Dhankar village and visit Gompa which is situated high above the valley. Later on Move Towards – Key Monastery, Kibber, Chicham Bridge.
Later on we head towards Kaza (Lidang). On Arrival at Kaza (Lidang), Check-In to the Stay and retire for the day. Dinner and overnight stay at Kaza (Lidang). Distance of ~150 km in 5-6 hours.

Dhankar Village, Is known for a fort and residence of the king of Spiti. The views from this point are mind blowing.

Key Monastery, Founded more than a 1000 years ago by Dromton, Key Gompa Monastery located in the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. Key Monastery or Kye Gompa is an absolutely transcendent place of worship which is now officially the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley and a religious training center for Lamas.
Located at a dizzying altitude of 4200m above sea level, Kibber village is famous for a monastery and the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary.
Chicham Bridge, Located at a height of around 4500 meters above sea level in the Himalayan mountain ranges, the Chicham Bridge is said to be the world’s highest suspension bridge and is one of the most spectacular bridges of the world.
Kaza, Is the sub divisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley and known as Heart of Spiti. Kaza is a high altitude or cold desert having close similarities to the neighboring Tibet and Ladakh regions in terms of terrain, climate and the Buddhist culture.

Day 5, Jan 3: Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komic – Kaza. Stay at Lidang

In the morning, we visit- Langza, Hikkim, and Komic. Later we explore the Kaza Market. After Dinner and overnight stay at Kaza(Lidang). Distance of ~50 km in 3-5 hours.

Day 6, Jan 4: BUFFER DAY

This day is the buffer day and leisure day. In winters we take 1 day as a buffer and leisure day for the safer side. Stay at Lidang.

Day 7, Jan 5: Kaza – Tabo

Morning, after Breakfast Check-out from the stay and head to Tabo. On Arrival at Tabo, Check-in to the stay and retire for the day. The rest of the day is on leisure and free for individual activities. We shall Explore the Tabo village. Dinner and overnight stay at Tabo. Distance of ~50 km in 2 hours.

Day 8, Jan 6: Tabo – Narkanda

In the morning, After breakfast we drive to Rampur. On the way, enjoy the great outer Views of Nako village which is famous for a beautiful lake. The drive continues, the best views of Satluj & Spiti Rivers at Khab. Enjoy the Road journey and on your Arrival at Rampur, Check-In to the hotel and retire for the day. Dinner and Overnight stay at Rampur. Distance of ~250 km in 8 hours.

Day 9, Jan 7: Narkanda – Chandigarh – Drop/Departure

In the morning, after breakfast, checkout from the hotel and head to Chandigarh. On the way, enjoy the beautiful hill views of Outer Shimla. We shall drop you at Chandigarh Airport and from there onwards you can move for your onward Destination on your own.
Tour Ends here. Distance of ~250 km in 8 hours.

IMPORTANT: We are going into a weather of -10 to -20 degree celsius. The roads can be closed or blocked. We would alter the itinerary accordingly.

Inclusions: All accommodation, transport on 14 seater tempo traveler from Chandigarh – Spiti – Chandigarh. 2 meals(dinner & breakfast)+ tea included from the first hotel stay – last stay.

The recommended way to reach Chandigarh is to take a bus from Delhi or you can fly directly to Chandigarh airport(better option).

Day 1, Oct 14: ARRIVAL/PICKUP CHANDIGARH – VIA SHIMLA – NARKANDA

Day 2, Oct 15: Narkanda – Kalpa

Morning, After breakfast Start our journey for Kalpa via beautiful villages of Rampur Wangtu, and Karcham. On Arrival at Kalpa, Visit – Roghi Village and Suicide point. We can Visit and Explore the Peo Market as time permits. At Kalpa, we shall catch a glimpse of the famous Kinner Kailash mountain range. Check-in to the Stay and retire for the day. Day 3, Oct 16: Kalpa – Tabo. Stay at Tabo

In the morning after breakfast we leave for Tabo. En route we will find the amazing view of Satluj & Spiti Rivers at Khab. We shall stop for lunch in Nako village which is the first village of Spiti valley region and famous for a beautiful lake. On the way we shall visit Gue village to see the Mummy (Depends upon the road condition).
Later on continued the journey to Tabo. On Arrival at Tabo, Visit Tabo Monastery and Caves.
On Arrival, Check-In to the Stay & Retire for the Day. Dinner and Overnight stay at Tabo. Distance of ~200 km in 6-7 hours.

Gue Mummy- Believed to be over 500 years old, this rare natural mummy belongs to Sangha Tenzin, a Buddhist monk who started the self-mummification process while still living! In 1975, an earthquake in the wind-sculpted Spiti Valley opened up a time-worn tomb in Gue.
Tabo is a small town in Lahaul and Spiti district on the banks of the Spiti River. The town lies on the road between Reckong Peo and Kaza. Visit the Tabo village, surrounded by Buddhist Monasteries which is more than 1000 years old and is considered one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world. There are several caves nearby which are used by Buddhist monks for meditation in solitude.

(NOTE:- Please note Road Conditions to – Gue Village are not good. If at the time of the travel roads are closed or not in good condition then will not cover the same).

Day 4, Oct 17: Tabo – Dhankar – Key Monastery – Kibber – Chicham Bridge – Kaza

In the morning after breakfast, start our journey to Kaza Via Dhankar. Visit – Dhankar village and visit Gompa which is situated high above the valley. Later on Move Towards – Key Monastery, Kibber, Chicham Bridge.
Later on we head towards Kaza (Lidang). On Arrival at Kaza (Lidang), Check-In to the Stay and retire for the day. Dinner and overnight stay at Kaza (Lidang). Distance of ~150 km in 5-6 hours.

Dhankar Village, Is known for a fort and residence of the king of Spiti. The views from this point are mind blowing.

Key Monastery, Founded more than a 1000 years ago by Dromton, Key Gompa Monastery located in the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. Key Monastery or Kye Gompa is an absolutely transcendent place of worship which is now officially the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley and a religious training center for Lamas.
Located at a dizzying altitude of 4200m above sea level, Kibber village is famous for a monastery and the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary.
Chicham Bridge, Located at a height of around 4500 meters above sea level in the Himalayan mountain ranges, the Chicham Bridge is said to be the world’s highest suspension bridge and is one of the most spectacular bridges of the world.
Kaza, Is the sub divisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley and known as Heart of Spiti. Kaza is a high altitude or cold desert having close similarities to the neighboring Tibet and Ladakh regions in terms of terrain, climate and the Buddhist culture.

Day 5, Oct 18: Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komic – Kaza. Stay at Lidang

In the morning, we visit- Langza, Hikkim, and Komic. Later we explore the Kaza Market. After Dinner and overnight stay at Kaza(Lidang). Distance of ~50 km in 3-5 hours.

Day 6, Oct 19: BUFFER DAY

This day is the buffer day and leisure day. In winters we take 1 day as a buffer and leisure day for the safer side. Stay at Lidang.

Day 7, Oct 20: Kaza – Tabo

Morning, after Breakfast Check-out from the stay and head to Tabo. On Arrival at Tabo, Check-in to the stay and retire for the day. The rest of the day is on leisure and free for individual activities. We shall Explore the Tabo village. Dinner and overnight stay at Tabo. Distance of ~50 km in 2 hours.

Day 8, Oct 21: Tabo – Narkanda

In the morning, After breakfast we drive to Rampur. On the way, enjoy the great outer Views of Nako village which is famous for a beautiful lake. The drive continues, the best views of Satluj & Spiti Rivers at Khab. Enjoy the Road journey and on your Arrival at Rampur, Check-In to the hotel and retire for the day. Dinner and Overnight stay at Rampur. Distance of ~250 km in 8 hours.

Day 9, Oct 22: Narkanda – Chandigarh – Drop/Departure

In the morning, after breakfast, checkout from the hotel and head to Chandigarh. On the way, enjoy the beautiful hill views of Outer Shimla. We shall drop you at Chandigarh Airport and from there onwards you can move for your onward Destination on your own.
Tour Ends here. Distance of ~250 km in 8 hours.

IMPORTANT: We are going into a weather of 0 to -10 degree celsius. The roads can be closed or blocked. We would alter the itinerary accordingly.

  3. Warmers / Thermals -1-2 pairs

  6. Woolen caps, gloves 1 each, and socks as per requirement
  7. Raincoat (not necessary – but good to have one).
  8. Waterproof or cold resistant Trekking shoes – preferably not carrying sports shoes as they are not the best when it comes to hilly terrain/ water/ cold proofing.

  10. Water bottle, Mandatory. Spiti is a fragile region with not much scope of waste management, we shall fill the bottle and use the same.

 Participants are expected to have 1-2 visa stamps on their passport, also passport validity of 1 year at least from Sep 1 2023, sufficient bank balance(around 1.5- 2L) and healthy transactions at the time of visa application, ITR filed for the past 3 years. DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01 (Sep 15) – ARRIVAL/PICKUP from KEFLAVIK AIRPORT

Pickup at the airport around 8am-10am and head to stay near Keflavik. Buy any sim card(lebara, nova), alcohol if required, from the airport store as it’s the cheapest here. We will be traveling around Grindavik, exploring local food, hot springs, lava fields etc. We will be staying at Keflavik. Night we go out to shoot if aurora activity is there. 100-140 kms, 5-6 hours.

Day 02 (Sep 16) – KEFLAVIK – GRUNDARFJÖRÐUR

Drive to Grundarfjörður, after breakfast and grocery shopping. Sunset at Kirkjufell. Night we go out to shoot if there is an aurora activity. Stay at Grundarfjordur. 220-240 kms, 7-8 hours.

Day 03 ( Sep 17) – GRUNDARFJÖRÐUR – HELLISSANDUR – BÚÐAKIRKJA

After breakfast drive to Hellissandur, Explore street murals, Saxhóll Crater, explore Djúpalónssandur beach, Lóndrangar View Point, sunset at  Búðakirkja church. Shoot northern lights here if the weather is good, else head to Kirkjufell. Stay at Grundarfjordur. 100-140 kms, 5-6 hours.

Day 04 ( Sep 18) – GRUNDARFJÖRÐUR – HVOLSVÖLLUR

Drive to Hvolsvollur, after breakfast. Visit Seljalandofoss, Skogafoss and Kvernufoss and take pictures(spend 30-45 mins at each place). Stay at Hvolsvollur. 280-300 kms, 6-8 hours.

Day 05 (Sep 19) – HVOLSVÖLLUR – VIK

Visit the DC plane wreck in the early morning(5 am). Walk 8 kms up n down, carry light luggage and water. Come back to Vik for breakfast/brunch and head to vik church, black sand beach and Reynisfjara Beach. Stay at Hvolsvollur. 100-140 kms, 5-6 hours.

Day 06 (Sep 20) – HVOLSVÖLLUR – REYNIVELLIR

Head to Reynivellir in the morning. En route, stop at Eldhraun lava field, Lómagnúpur mountain, and stop at  Fjallsárlón glacier. Sunset at Diamond beach. Stay at Reynivellir. 280-300 kms, 7-9 hours.

Day 07 (Sep 21) – REYNIVELLIR – STOKKSNES

We will possibly go caving at Jokulsarlon glacier if it is open(This is extra and would be around 120-160 Euros per head). We drive to Stokksnes for sunset and northern lights. Stay at Stokksnes. 60-80 kms, 1-2 hours.

Day 08 (Sep 22) – STOKKSNES – HVOLSVÖLLUR

Shoot sunrise at Vestrahorn. Check out after breakfast and head to vik. We will possibly go caving at Jokulsarlon glacier if it is open(This is extra and would be around 120-160 Euros per head). Sunset at Dyrhólaey Lighthouse. Stay at Hvolsvollur. 350-360 kms, 8-9 hours.

Day 09 (Sep 23) – HVOLSVÖLLUR – REYKJAVIK

Drive to Grindavik, visit blue lagoon(entry 90 Euros), and head to Reykjavik and stay here for the night. We explore the city if time permits.

Day 10 (Sep 24) – REYKJAVIK – Drop to KEFLAVIK Airport

Explore Reykjavík, Visit Sun Voyager, Hallgrímskirkja church, Drop to the airport at Keflavik by evening 7-8pm. Trip Ends here. Hope you had a great time in Iceland with the group.

Book a return flight on 24th evening after 8-9 PM.

Every day we shall possibly shoot the sunset and shoot on those days where aurora activity and clear sky is available.

In the morning after breakfast, start our journey to Kaza Via Dhankar. Visit – Dhankar village and visit Gompa which is situated high above the valley. Later on Move Towards – Key Monastery, Kibber, Chicham Bridge.

Later on we head towards Kaza (Lidang). On Arrival at Kaza (Lidang), Check-In to the Stay and retire for the day. Dinner and overnight stay at Kaza (Lidang). Distance of ~150 km in 5-6 hours.

Dhankar Village, Is known for a fort and residence of the king of Spiti. The views from this point are mind blowing.

Key Monastery, Founded more than a 1000 years ago by Dromton, Key Gompa Monastery located in the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. Key Monastery or Kye Gompa is an absolutely transcendent place of worship which is now officially the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley and a religious training center for Lamas.

Located at a dizzying altitude of 4200m above sea level, Kibber village is famous for a monastery and the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary.

Chicham Bridge, Located at a height of around 4500 meters above sea level in the Himalayan mountain ranges, the Chicham Bridge is said to be the world’s highest suspension bridge and is one of the most spectacular bridges of the world.

Kaza, Is the sub divisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley and known as Heart of Spiti. Kaza is a high altitude or cold desert having close similarities to the neighboring Tibet and Ladakh regions in terms of terrain, climate and the Buddhist culture.

Day 5 (Mar 15) – Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komic – Kaza. Stay at Lidang.

In the morning, we visit- Langza, Hikkim, and Komic. Later we explore the Kaza Market. After Dinner and overnight stay at Kaza(Lidang). Distance of ~50 km in 3-5 hours.

Day 6 (Mar 16) – BUFFER DAY

This day is the buffer day and leisure day. In winters we take 1 day as a buffer and leisure day for the safer side. Stay at Lidang.

Day 7 (Mar 17) – Kaza – Tabo

Morning, after Breakfast Check-out from the stay and head to Tabo. On Arrival at Tabo, Check-in to the stay and retire for the day. The rest of the day is on leisure and free for individual activities. We shall Explore the Tabo village. Dinner and overnight stay at Tabo. Distance of ~50 km in 2 hours.

Day 8 (Mar 18) – Tabo – Rampur

In the morning, After breakfast we drive to Rampur. On the way, enjoy the great outer Views of Nako village which is famous for a beautiful lake. The drive continues, the best views of Satluj & Spiti Rivers at Khab. Enjoy the Road journey and on your Arrival at Rampur, Check-In to the hotel and retire for the day. Dinner and Overnight stay at Rampur. Distance of ~250 km in 8 hours.

Day 9 (Mar 19) – Rampur – Chandigarh – Drop/Departure.

In the morning, after breakfast, checkout from the hotel and head to Chandigarh. On the way, enjoy the beautiful hill views of Outer Shimla. We shall drop you at Chandigarh Airport and from there onwards you can move for your onward Destination on your own.

Tour Ends here.  Distance of ~250 km in 8 hours.

IMPORTANT: We are going into a weather of -10 to -20 degree celsius. The roads can be closed or blocked. We would alter the itinerary accordingly.

THINGS TO CARRY
  1. Down Jackets(preferably -10-20 degree ones, Decathlon has good ones) – 1
  2. Pullovers / Sweatshirts -1
  3. Warmers / Thermals -1-2 pairs
  4. T shirts/ tops 4-6 of them
  5. Trek pants/ trousers 1-2
  6. Woolen caps, gloves 1 each, and socks as per requirement
  7. Raincoat (not necessary – but good to have one).
  8. Waterproof or cold resistant Trekking shoes – preferably not carrying sports shoes as they are not the best when it comes to hilly terrain/ water/ cold proofing.
  9. Personal Medicines if any.
  10. Water bottle.
  11. Power banks.
  12. UV Sunglasses.
  13. Dry fruits.
  14. Camera and lenses. Tripod if required.
  15. Cards/ Games if any.

Ensure to carry light as possible even though we don’t have much hiking with bags, it’s a good practise to carry light

  1. All Sightseeing totally depends upon Weather, Road Condition and Time management of Guests. Sightseeing Can be Shifted on Other Days or can be missed, Totally Depends upon the Road conditions and time management of Guests.
  2. Participants who have a medical history of blood pressure, heart-related problems or asthma are advised to seek medical advice before enrolling for this Tour.
  3. We have full right to modify/ alter the tour itinerary at any point of time depending on the need( Road/ weather conditions etc).
  4. We shall not be responsible for any injuries, damages or losses caused to any participant in connection with terrorist activities, social unrest, mechanical or construction failures or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, abnormal conditions or developments, or any other actions outside our control.
  5. The management has every right to ban and deport the participants who won’t follow the rules and respect the crew. (NO REFUND)
  6. Participants won’t be refunded if he/she decides to leave a tour in progress for any reason.
  7. In Winters Spiti gets Covered with heavy Snow. Only limited Accommodation facilities available with the Eco Friendly Dry common toilets & washrooms are available. As in winters Water Freezes. Electricity and water shortages are common in Kinnaur and Spiti in Winters.
  8. Single/Double sharing stay is not possible in Winters in Kaza (Lidang) for Groups. Travelers who are traveling will accommodate in Triple/Quad Sharing stay only with other co-travelers,Depending upon the availability.
  9. In case if roads are blocked and further journey is not possible then we will take the best possible decision for Guests Safety.
  10. Kindly note at the time of Travel if Route will get closed or in bad conditions then will take alternative route with alternate Stay for the Guest safety but for that Supplement cost will be applicable which has to be borne by the Guests directly.
  11. Meals (Breakfast & Dinner) will be provided in Stays only. No Meals can be packed.
  12. Any kind of refund is not possible for any unused services.
  13. Please don’t use Single use plastic bottles in Spiti, Carry Hard Steel water bottles for the trip. This is very important.
  14. If this tour is canceled before the departure, we will provide you with a refund excluding any cancellation charges applicable. Unless the cancellation is due to an event that makes it infeasible for us to operate the tour as planned.
  15. In any circumstance if we cancel the trip in progress, you will receive a proportion of refund based on the number of days not completed on the tour.
  16. All refunds will take within 7-10 business days to reach you.
  17. Spiti is a destination which is off beat totally and growing nowadays. So one may not get any luxury here. It’s a place for experience and exploration.
